Today I woke up feeling very motivated and I have already gotten a good bit done. The one thing I am having trouble with is coming up with my topic for my manifesto. I have many beliefs and I feel like I could write about all of them but the trouble I am running into is picking one. I am a follower of Christ ( I chose to use that as my topic for our first unit 2 writing assignment). I believe that in order to accomplish something in this world, hard work and dedication are necessary. I believe that creativity is something that everyone has but you just have to find a medium that you can show it through. I believe that friends are an essential part of your life. I believe a loving family is necessary when growing up. I believe in marriage and that divorce can be prevented. I believe that it is important to read and have an imagination.
See I could go on and on I think. Ahhh, i really have no clue what to do. I know a lot of us are in the same boat, so if y'all have any ideas or suggestions please feel free to share! I hope that I will be able to help some of you!
Catch you on the flip side :)
Hi Sarah, you mentioned earlier that you were a part of a christian youth group, or something close to it, but you didn't want to write about being faithful to God because it seemed to common. My suggestion about that would be maybe write about the benefits of going to church and being around people who support you, your manifesto argument could be something to the effect of "More Christian people should join youth groups because it helps maintain your faith better then not being around any support" or something like that. Well, that was my two-bits for you if it helps or not. Good luck finding something to write about.

P.S. your font makes my head hurt =), its pretty and all but a little hard to read for a guy with bad eyes, heh.
ReplyDeleteSarah! We are in the same boat. I have so many ideas I just don't know if I could write the required amount about them or use examples in my own life. The idea you had about having a loving family is necessary when growing up is a good idea. I also have this belief because I am super close with my family. Maybe you could us this and pulls examples of friends and peers that you know that don't have that. You could use the differences that you see between you and them. Just a thought. Hope this helps you!
